City of Toronto:

  • Waterfront

  • Central Waterfront Plan Part II
The Central Waterfront Part II Plan spells out key public priorities, opportunities and an implementation process to ensure results. The Plan focuses on core principles and big public moves, leaving area-specific details to precinct development strategies that will be completed later.

  • City Planning

    • East Bayfront Precinct Plan
The East Bayfront Precinct extends from Jarvis Street in the west to Cherry Street in the east, between the lakefront and the Gardiner corridor. This Precinct Plan document focuses on the area between Jarvis and Parliament Streets.

    • Toronto's Port Lands and West Don Lands
The eastern shore of Toronto Harbour will gain a new lease on life as a $61-million project is initiated to clean up and service valuable land in the Port Lands district that holds great promise as a significant residential community and a node for new economy businesses.

  • Heritage Preservation

    • Union Station Plan
Toronto City Council adopted the Union Station Master Plan in December 2004. The master plan is a bold, visionary roadmap for the restoration, revitalization and operation of the Union Station complex. As a high-level policy document it will direct decision making as a specific concept for Union Station continues to evolve and take shape.

Toronto Transit Commission (TTC)

GO Transit:

  • Union Station Renewal Plan
GO Transit has embarked on an extensive renewal program for Union Station and the tracks approaching the historic station. The improvements will double the station’s capacity to more than 80 million passengers per year, improve train operations and reliability, and reduce operating costs.

  • GO TRIP Transit Rail Improvement Plan

Waterfront Toronto
(formerly the Toronto Waterfront Revitalization Corporation)

  • East Bayfront Precinct Plan
East Bayfront is being targeted as a prime site to attract significant new employers to the city. The new district will have 7,000 residential units, jobs for 8,000 people to 1.5 km of continuous water’s edge promenade.

  • West Don Lands Precinct Plan
The area is within walking distance of downtown, is right next to the Distillery District and has good connections to the existing St. Lawrence and Corktown neighbourhoods.

  • Port Lands Implementation Plan
This extensive, underutilized area presents an unprecedented opportunity for waterfront revitalization - much of the Port Lands is in public ownership, the area has exceptional waterfront access and it is within a 20 minute walk of downtown.
